Passing is never guaranteed, but the following tips can help you prepare.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Practise consistently<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Regular practice helps safe driving habits become more natural. Include different roads, traffic conditions, intersections, parking situations and manoeuvres in your preparation.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Know the vehicle<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Before the assessment, become familiar with the vehicle\u2019s controls, mirrors, indicators, brakes and steering. Adjust your seat and mirrors before moving.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Observe continuously<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Check your mirrors regularly and scan the road ahead for changing conditions. Perform the appropriate shoulder checks before moving away, changing lanes or merging.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Follow signs and road markings<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Pay close attention to speed limits, stop signs, traffic lights, lane markings and give-way requirements.
