At Defensive Driving School Melbourne we offer a Towing and Trailer course.

This course is for anyone who would like to tow, taking away with them the confidence that they have the knowledge and skills to do so.

Learn how to get your trailer safely from A to B with one of our highly experienced towing experts.

On this course we cover the following:

• Types- boat, van, horse float, personal/work trailer.
• Hitching – Unhitching- inspection of correct coupling including chains & cables making sure they are safe and legal.
• Loading correctly, securing load and weight limits
• Driving with a trailer-forward & back
• Reversing and Parking
• Trailer emergencies-identifying them & what to do
• Development of practical techniques including hazard awareness to ensure safe handling of a tow vehicle
• Brake set up, brake controller adjustment, manual override.
